Atye Larema -- I'm here my friend
This phrase is taken from the Sunday DVD from Invisible Children, where the child in the displacement camp named Sunday tells the one of the Invisible Children's founder/visionary this Swahili phrase as he is tending to his sickness.
I'm trying to see the world around me in child-like eyes. I tend to complicate understanding, truths, and perspectives. I need the approach that my Lord Jesus, my Yahweh, says "come as a child" in Luke chapter 18. He surrounds me with experiences, people, and His word to illustrate points in my life.
It's no coincidence that I've been chewing on this truth, this challenge to pursue the Kingdom of God above all else. And He has taken me through more scriptures to find His yoke is simple & light. No coincidence that my wife has observed how our son Ethan has faith so great and innocent.
He just accepts and knows that God is here....he just is. I can learn alot from a 4 year old. God is Atye Larema!
Breathe In & Smile Out,
Chris
